During his time as a thelogical student, then postulant for holy orders, and ordinand, Brent Krysa was mostly based at St. Andrew's Memorial Anglican Church,Kitchener. He also did Summer field placements in the Diocese of Toronto, and did a Summer internship in Tobermory and the Bruce Peninsula,as part of his theological formation . He was ordained to the Diaconate on Trinity Sunday, May 31, 2026, in St. Paul's Cathedral, London. His current position is Deacon Assistant to the Archdeacon of Northern Huron, but remains attached to St. Andrew's Kitchener for liturgical functions unless called to officiate elsewhere on Sundays.
Originally from ault Ste. Marie, Brent holds a Master of Divinity degree from Trinity College, where he was awarded the Governor General’s Medal for academic achievement. Prior to entering postulancy he studied music at McGill University, and the University of Toronto Faculty of Opera and worked for more than twenty years as a stage director with the Canadian Opera Company, as well as with opera companies in Canada and abroad.
